Clean as a Whistle !!
Lindsey had a scan last Thursday and it is all good ~ next one is in 6 months.
I think this might be the best time to discontinue this BLOG.
We would like to thank all of you for following Lindsey's progress and for all of your prayers and good wishes ~ please continue to pray for her continued good health.

Sorry ~ I forgot !
Sorry I have been remiss - I promised an entry on the 20th. No news is good news on this Blog, however, so forgetting is actually a good thing ! All is quiet, Lindsey looks good, feels better with each day and is going about the business of being a wife and mother ~ just what we'd hoped for. Shelley's wedding went off without a "hitch" (or should I say, with a hitch), and we are quietly returning to normal. If anyone knows what normal is, please let me know, it's been a while...........

wedding getting closer !
Lindsey continues to thrive, her catheter is OUT, meaning no more blood checks, clinic visits, etc., etc., her next visit with her doctor is mid-June. Her sister Shelley's wedding is next weekend, and we are getting ready to party. All Skogens doing well.........gaining weight and growing hair together.....see ya around the 20th of June.

Cut Loose !
Lindsey had a clinic visit today and they cut her loose ! Since she's in remission and having no other issues, they told her not to come back for 4 weeks ~ she does have to go in to have her triple lumen catheter removed, however, and they will do that early next week ! That works !

Smooth Sailing
Lindsey's latest PET Scan was completely clean, and she continues to feel better and better! They are continuing to taper off the anti-rejection medications, so Lindsey's magnesium levels are improving, requiring less monitoring; therefore less trips to the BMT Clinic. They told her to come back in 7 to 10 days. I am writing this post from Florida ~ we decided to take advantage of the long break, so we headed down for a few days on the beach. Weather is beautiful and we are all enjoying ourselves. Needless to say, all family members, young and old, are wearing SPF 50 ! No news is good news, so check here again on May 15.

Checking in
Lindsey continues to do well; controlling her magnesium level seems to be the only issue, and she takes oral medications for the most part to help with that. Still doing once a week visits to the clinic. They should start to taper off the immuno-suppressive medications soon, and her magnesium level will go back to normal. That's about it ! Next post May 1.

Ease it up a bit
We know that many of you check this blog daily and that you are all very interested in knowing Lindsey's progress. We really do feel all of your thoughts and prayers, and are blessed to have so many people praying for Lindsey's continued health. Just as the visits to the clinic are becoming less frequent, my posts on the blog will also become less frequent. Things are going very well right now, and I feel it is only fair to let you know how often to "look" to see if there is anything new. For the forseeable future, I will post news once a month. Of course, if there is a need, I will indicate that in each posting, and you will know to check more often. Thank you again for all of your continued support. My next post will be April 15. Happy St. Patrick's Day !
