Next Week
Lindsey and Jacob arrived mid-day yesterday, and went immediately over to Dr. Ballard's office. Her blood work is improving dramatically, but they decided to wait another week before giving her the second chemotherapy treatment. We didn't realize it, but a 21-28 day cycle is normal for this chemo regimen, so Dr. Ballard said it was no big deal for them to wait. Lindsey looks good, feels good and is planning to spend the weekend with us. After returning from the doctor's office, we took the newlyweds over to Lowe's to pick out shower tile. The basement project is moving along quickly, they have the drywall up and it's starting to look like a place to live ! In the evening, Andy and I headed down to Mercer to participate in "senior night" festivities with Shelley. The Mercer Bears fought valiantly, but had to settle for second seed in the Atlantic Sun Tournament, as they lost to visiting Kennesaw State 3-1. It was a good game, and we're proud of all of them for having such a great regular season! It has been the most successful season in the 5 years that we've been following Mercer Soccer. Our friend, Nancy Jacobsen made us a huge platter of lasagna and brought gifts for Lindsey and Jacob. Thanks Nancy !
