Just being Normal

Lindsey and Jacob have spent the last week just being normal. Lindsey will not have any treatments until the 19th, so this is a good break for them. We've been Christmas shopping and buying a few things for the basement apartment just to finish it up. We've been buying things like paper towel holders, and bathroom rugs. Jacob has been doing some yard work and odd jobs for friends and neighbors to make a little extra cash. His brother, Seth has been with us for a few days visiting and helping him do some of the work. Seth just finished his first semester at Furman University, and stopped down on his way home for Christmas. Just normal stuff.............Shelley arrived home tonight and we will do some shopping around town tomorrow. Then, Thursday, we will have our all day orientation at the Doctor's office. Shelley will be given a physical and we will be introduced to all that lies ahead. And then, on Friday, Shelley will have foot surgery - she waited until her soccer career was completed to take care of foot problems that have caused her pain for several years. . . Her fiance, Mike, will be arriving on Sunday to be with her and make her feel better after the surgery !
