Storms Coming
We're sitting in Georgia watching the radar with big thunderstorms storms headed our way...........we're also watching Lindsey radar waiting for GVHD headed our way.........hmmmm. Lindsey had a few issues yesterday, but today was a good day, we went for a walk and she ate a good dinner. She says that she feels that her mouth is drying out and signs of GVHD are closing in. Although we want this to happen, let's pray that the symptoms are manageable. Lindsey and Jacob would love it if she could avoid hospitalization. Chances of that are not great, but possible ...... Lindsey is wearing a 24/7 pump of anti-rejection drugs, and these tend to rob your body of magnesium. Because of that, they gave her intravenous magnesium yesterday and today, and it caused her to have back spasms. Magnesium affects your muscles, and of course, her soccer-related back injury is her weak spot..........naturally, the magnesium headed right for that spot and it was just too much for her body to handle. She has medication to relax the spasm, but yesterday was a rough day for her. Today was pretty good in comparison.............Let's pray that we weather the thunderstorms and the GVHD and come out the other side unscathed.
