Time to Relax
Lindsey went into the office of Dr. Ballard in Fayetteville today for some bloodwork. We don't have the results yet, but expect they'll be fine. She feels good so we're heading to Florida for some R & R. Andy, Lindsey and I will drive down Wednesday, and Jacob will join us Thursday night. We'll be there until Monday. Her "exit interview" is scheduled for April 30 at the BMTGA (Blood and Marrow Transplant Group, Georgia) offices. Dr. Morris will give us our marching orders, and the next time we see them will be at Day 100 in June. At that point she will undergo a battery of tests, including a bone marrow biopsy and CT scan to see where she's at. Until then, she'll just get bloodwork in Fayetteville to make sure that her numbers are rising steadily. So far, so good. A special Mass was said at Holy Trinity on Monday night for Lindsey, courtesy of Barb Murray and her co-workers. That is one of many Masses that have been said to pray for Lindsey's healing. Not to mention the hundreds upon hundreds of "rings" that line the walls of Lindsey's room, with all of the good wishes, prayers and humorous stories that have come her way. The support has been tremendous, and it's working ~ what a difference a prayer makes !
