No Deal
Dr. Ballard didn't think Lindsey was strong enough to receive her treatment today. They took her blood, and although her numbers were borderline 'okay', she was neutropenic, and they decided to pass on the Day 8 Gemzar infusion. She will stay with us until Friday, when she will go back for another blood draw. Lindsey and Jacob are hoping to spend the weekend and next week up on the Mountain. She will have to go to Dr. Ballard's north side office twice next week. We are hoping this works out because the work being done on our house next week will be noisy and dusty. Our great neighbors have offered for the newlyweds to stay at their homes during all of this construction, but they'd really rather just sleep in their own bed. Can't blame them for that. If it becomes necessary for her to stay in the Atlanta area, we will, of course, take them up on their hospitable offers. Lindsey is tired and weak right now, but we think a few good nights of sleep will help to perk her right up. Prayers are definitely in order.
