Getting Settled In

Lindsey and Jacob had a great relaxing weekend at the Faber's Lake House, then came back to see their new digs. The place looks great, and I think Andy and I will move down there and let the kids have the upstairs ~ haha..............it is really an awesome apartment ! We were thinking back to where we lived and what we had when we were 23 ~ not quite the same as this ! We are so happy to be able to provide this for Lindsey and Jacob. With what they have been through and what they are facing, they truly deserve to be comfortable. Thanks to everyone who helped us put it together. We hadn't immediately planned to do anything with the deck area out the back door, and we returned from our weekend in Charleston to find that Vickie Green had moved out all of the junk and made a nice outdoor sitting area out there. It really looks nice ! Area rugs, a little bench, it's very inviting ! They have a small wood burning fire place out there that was a wedding gift from the Nacke's. If Lindsey is up to it, they could have a nice relaxing time out there on cool evenings. Pretty cool ! Thanks to everyone who has sent ornaments for the tree, they continue to arrive daily, and the tree looks wonderful! Jacob took Lindsey up to Northside Hospital today for her PET Scan. Hopefully, it will show what we hope to see ~ no more chemo's and go right to transplant. We should find out pretty quickly; probably in the next day or so. Until then, we'll continue tweeking the basement and moving things around to Lindsey and Jacob's liking.
