First annoyance

Lindsey has a PICC line inserted into her arm into which they administer her chemo, draw blood, those types of things. It's much better than getting 'sticks' with needles all the time, and it's better for your veins overall. Unfortunately, it is common to get blood clots in and around these things, and Lindsey's arm started aching over Thanksgiving weekend. When she came back from the Mountain, I called the doctor's office, and they said to bring her in. Monday we spent all day at the hospital getting an ultrasound and being evaluated. She has a blood clot, so she will have to give herself daily subcutaneous shots and take coumadin (blood thinner) until it resolves itself. Very common, just an annoyance and a waste of a sunny day in Georgia when we could have gotten some Christmas shopping done!
