First chemo goes very well

First salvage chemo was Thanksgiving week, Nov. 20-22. Lindsey breezed through her first treatment. No nausea, just fatigue. It was three days long 8:30 to about 3:00 each day, and she received three drugs, anti-nausea medicines and other things to help you tolerate the treatments. These particular drugs cause irritation to the kidneys and bladder, so they give her something to protect those organs. Went home and ate dinner each night, and Thanksgiving day we waited for the nausea to come and it didn't !!! There's a new pill that has been developed called "Emend" that has completely eliminated her queasy stomache - it's something that wasn't even available a year ago when she did this - the difference is night and day. Since Lindsey was feeling good, we packed up and went up to Lookout Mountain to have dinner with the Skogen's. Thanksgiving was a wonderful day, and we had lots to be thankful for !
