No treatment today

Lindsey woke up with a sore throat today. No fever, a little post-nasal drip. She was supposed to begin her third chemo today, but they cancelled it as a precaution. Dr. Morris didn't want to take the chance that it is something more and give her a treatment that will lower her resistance. They gave her the test for strep throat, took lots of blood, and sent us home. We'll go up there again tomorrow. Unless the strep is positive, they'll start the treatment. It's three days long, and she gets a combination of chemotherapy drugs called I C E . Weather wise, they're talking about the possibility of another kind of ICE tonight, so let's hope that the roads are clear enough in the morning. The doctor's office already called us and delayed the start until 10:00 because of the weather ~ doesn't break my heart ~ I'd much rather leave the house at 8:30 instead of the usual 5:30 or 6:00 that we have been doing !
