We got it goin' on !

No strep ! Lindsey has completed two days of the three-day chemo cycle, and all is going well. Today we had six hours at the clinic, and then they sent her home with a pump to infuse part of the treatment, so we got out a little earlier than expected. She's connected to this pump for 24 hours, and it is evidently a more desirable way to administer one of the medicines. It also includes an anti-nausea drug which worked very well the last time, so we hope she won't have any of that! One more trip up there tomorrow, and we expect to have at least 3 days off after that.........then it will just be short visits to check her white blood count. When it hits a certain number they will start her on a self-administered regimen of shots to increase her white counts in preparation for the stem cell retrieval. That will be the beginning of the serious part of her treatment. Jacob is scheduled to come down Saturday night after his game (with Cooper, of course), so we are looking forward to that !
