Testing

Hi Everyone: Lindsey had a battery of tests this week in preparation for the beginning of her treatment. We are awaiting the results. They did a bone marrow biopsy, a PET Scan, EKG, EEG, PFT and took gobs of blood. After they were done, I drove her up to the Mountain to see Jacob, and that's where she is now. She's feeling really good right now and is enjoying not being connected to anything. She has no ports, catheters or other paraphernalia at the present time, but that's about to change. Hopefully, all of her tests will show that she is ready for this treatment and that the insurance company approves the procedure. There's no reason to think they won't, but you have to jump through their hoops anyway. So far the insurance company has been great and have assigned two nurse-liaisons to us to help us through it all. I'm very impressed with them; they have been wonderfully responsive. Next week we go through an orientation and get all of our questions answered. We'll know a lot more after that.
