Fungal Pneumonia ~ (perhaps)

Today was Lindsey's second day of anti-fungal infusion. Even though they don't really have an official diagnosis, they are treating it as fungal pneumonia until what's in the petrie dish gives them a result. They have to give you lots of pre-meds when you get this anti-fungal stuff, because so many people react to it. It can make you shake uncontrollably, and cause lots of other unpleasantness . . . so, they give her Benedryl and Demerol so that she rests comfortably during the infusion. Of course, that makes you pretty tired for the rest of the day. She is also retaining water and experiencing shortness of breath, presumably from the issues with her lung. Just a few days ago, Lindsey was doing so well, we were amazed; now we are seeing what a complication can bring and how quickly things can change. It's a very good thing that this was caught early. Please pray that this will clear up quickly and that she will feel better soon.
