Hi everyone: Lindsey needed blood today, and they were unable to give it to her because they had to order it. We're not sure if it's because of a shortage or because of the particular anti-body component mix that she needs, but it reminded me to renew our ongoing request for blood donations. If you are able to donate whole blood or platelets at any time, please contact ATLANTA BLOOD SERVICES at 404.459.8744. You can also make an appointment on their website, http://www.atlantabloodservices.com/. They have evening hours several days a week, as well as Saturday hours. Many people from out of town have asked if they can donate in their home town to benefit Lindsey. Unfortunately, donations must be made at ABS in order to have the potential of direct benefit for Lindsey. However, donating at home in Lindsey's honor is always a good idea.
